Q. Is there a charge to enter Visual Impact Image Expos?
A. No. Entry to the exhibition is free.
Q. Can I register in advance?
A. Yes, simply click on the link below and it will take you to the Pre-Registration site. You can collect your visitors badge at the exhibition.
Q. Can I register on arrival?
A. Yes. Registrations are available at the entry to the exhibition. Although to save time, we recommend registering online prior to the exhibition.
Q. Why should I visit the exhibition?
A. There are many ways of sourcing product and supplier information, but only exhibitions allow you to put a suppliers’ claims comprehensively to the test easily and cost effectively – by examining the products for yourself, questioning their creators, and comparing and contrasting their performance.
Q. Can I see what’s new?
A. Yes, Exhibitions are a recognised launch pad for new products, and an extremely time-efficient way to keep up to date with the latest innovations. There will also be a new products display area at the exhibition.
Q. Can I evaluate products and suppliers at the exhibitions?
A. You can compile a wide range of competitive information on products and suppliers in a short amount of time. According to research, decision makers name trade shows as an 'extremely useful' source of purchasing information that any other media.
Q. Will a visit help staff keep abreast of industry developments?
A. Exhibitions are a rich source of new ideas and applications and, as such, play an important role in strategic planning and business generation.

Q. Is parking available at the venues?
A. Yes…all our exhibitions have close by parking facilities and ample parking on-site and within short walking distance.

We hand select all our venues for the benefits to visitors and exhibitors alike, so you will find many choices of various style accommodations to suit all budgets.  There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars and entertainment close by.
Q. What exhibitions are held each year?

A. There are  three major exhibitions with seminars and conferences.

  • Visual Impact Image Expo Sydney (held every year)
  • Visual Impact Image Expo Gold Coast (held every 2nd year)
  • Visual Impact Image Expo Melbourne (held every 2nd year)

Whilst the Gold Coast and Melbourne exhibitions alternate on an annual alternate basis, the Sydney is held annually and has grown to be the southern hemisphere’s largest exhibition for the sign, screen and related industries.

Q. Which shows are coming up?

A. The exhibitions coming up are:

  • Visual Impact and Image Expo Sydney - 30 October - 1 November at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre
  • Visual Impact and Image Expo Melbourne - March 2009 at the Melbourne Showgrounds
  • Visual Impact and Image Expo Sydney - November 2009 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

A. The Visual Impact and Image exhibitions are industry focused and provide opportunities for visitors to meet with suppliers of screen printing, wide format digital imaging and sign making.

This exhibition provides opportunities for people from Industries such as sign makers, screen printers, engravers, printers, trophy and award, digital designers and architects and other associated industries to meet with Suppliers and learn new technologies, which are being introduced to make their jobs easier.

Q. Who should attend Visual Impact Image Expo?
A. Everyone associated with signs, screen printing, digital imaging and signmaking: directors, managers, production, sales, technical and development personnel should all attend.
Q. Can everyone in the industry benefit from attending?
A. All levels of people working in the industry, from management to apprentices can benefit from attending the exhibition.  There is a lot to learn in the ever changing work of digital signage and graphics and you will have the chance to see many facets of the industry equipment.  If you are working in the industry, do not miss the chance to increase your knowledge and contacts.
Q. Can I see WIDE FORMAT DIGITAL IMAGING in process?
A. Regardless of the size of your printer and if using it for display or proofing – this exhibition is for you. No where else will you see in one place, the variety of medium, wide, large and grand format printers. This will be the largest display of the wide format printers in Australia and New Zealand. A variety of inks, media and other consumables available for these printers will make for interesting comparisons for members of this industry.
Q. Can I see SCREENPRINTING equipment alternative and traditional equipment?
A. Screen printers will see the largest display of screen printing equipment ever assembled in Australia. Graphic, industrial and textile screen printing products will be available for viewing. Suppliers have been invited from the following areas; industrial (membrane, touch panels etc), textiles (garments, t-shirts, yardage etc), graphics (posters, rigid plastic, polycarbonate etc), decals, electronics (CD’s, circuit boards etc), specialty printing (pens, stubby holders, key rings etc) inks and all other consumables associated with the screen printing industry.
Q. What type of sign making equipment is on display?
A. A wide variety of signage products will be displayed including the latest in routing machines.

Q. Do I need a password to login into the exhibitors section of the website?

A. Yes you do. If you have not received your password, please email us at viexhibitions@visa.org.au and we will email you the log in details.

Q. Should I build a custom stand or use a shell scheme?
A. Each exhibitor has their own budget and needs, and this will reflect the type of stand you build. So, the answer is not a simple one, as it is based on your budget and the image you wish to project.
However whether you budget is large or small the visitors will still be at the exhibition and its your job to stop them on your stand.
